Ada Restaurant
In 2022, we purchased one of Auckland’s most beloved and award-winning restaurants–Ada, located in the boutique Grey Lynn Hotel, The Convent.
Since then, we have grown the business, tripled annual income and achieved an 18 out of 20 review of our most recent menu, as judged by NZ Viva critic Jesse Mulligan.
Combining the precision and technicality of fine dining with a deep appreciation for the simple, unpretentious pleasures of country cooking, our new menu aims to deliver a dining experience that is accessible, informed by classical cookery, but recognisably “of its place” in Aotearoa New Zealand.
We have placed an emphasis on locally sourced, sustainable produce and proteins where possible, reflecting New Zealand’s commitment to environmental responsibility, and developing relationships with suppliers that share our same core values of A Modern Bistro for New Zealand.
Classical bistro cookery meets the casual charm of the Antipodes.
Our summer menu is inspired by the great bistros of France and England, but with a lightness that suits Auckland’s warm climate and eclectic culture. Day-boat fish, wild venison, market gardeners, boutique beef, handmade pasta, local dairy and no-half measures when it comes to flavour.
Pie Rolla’s
In 2024, after over six months of R&D, we launched the gourmet pie brand, Pie Rolla’s.
Pie Rolla’s has quickly become a social media phenomenon but, more than that, it’s fast becoming Auckland’s favourite pie brand.
We opened a second store in early 2025 and expansion plans continue with construction of a larger production facility and three new Auckland outlets planned for 2025.
Pie Rolla’s is an authentic hand-made pie business committed to preserving tradition whilst embracing innovation.
Our core focus lies in crafting pies with all-butter pastry, meticulously prepared using generations-old recipes alongside carefully curated modern twists. Our pies not only offer a delicious culinary experience, but also narrate a story of family traditions and values deeply rooted in authenticity.
Keep on Rollin’!
St. Margs
In 2024, we took over a run down corner site at 469 Karangahape Road and set about creating a beautiful local space for the more than 5000 apartment dwellers living nearby–an accessible, but elevated Bar & Bistro to fill the gap on Auckland’s last bastion of bohemian culture and nightlife.
St. Marg’s, on the corner of Karangahape Rd and Howe Street, received an 18 out of 20 review upon opening from NZ Herald Viva reviewer Jesse Mulligan.
Unrecognisable since it’s complete transformation, St. Marg’s already feels like an established part of the K’Rd hospo and entertainment community and is continuing to receive glowing reviews from food media and customers alike.
